PokerStars has just announced that its popular MicroMillions online poker series will be back in action this weekend. From July 17-31, players can compete in just over 200 events, each offering low stakes, and a total of $4.3 million in guaranteed prize money!

Details of the Series

The MicroMillions begins on Sunday and players need to be ready because there is a ton of action on offer. With 16 events in total for the day, many online poker players are going to be very busy! The events will vary in buy-in and prize guarantee, but all will be affordable. An example of an opener is the Progressive KO tournament, offering a whopping $100,000 in prizes with an $11 buy-in.

Day 1 also includes a Turbo Deepstack progressive with a $5.50 buy-in and $20,000 up for grabs along with a Sunday Special featuring $100,000 with an $11 buy-in. This event has an NLHE format.

Most events on the tournament schedule will be in some type of hold’em format. However, there are more than two dozen featuring another variant. Players can take part in tournament events with Omaha, Stud, Triple draw, and 2-7 Single. Additional variants include Courcheval, 6+, Fusion, Badugi, and more.

PokerStars is offering several buy-ins, all of which are affordable. The lowest on the list is $1.10 followed by $3.30 and $5.50. most events will have the last two buy-ins. On the higher end, players can compete in a few $11 and one $22 and $55 event.

Bigger Events on the Schedule

As always, the series would not be complete without any highly anticipated events. The two largest tournaments on the schedule include the High Roller event and the Main Event tournament. The High Roller includes the largest buy-in at $55. It will feature a total prize pool of $200,000.

The Main Event or MicroMillions 202 will feature a low $22 buy-in and a huge $500,000 prize pool. The event is a progressive knockout-style tournament so even if players don’t finish in the money, they can earn a prize if they eliminate other competitors.

It will be interesting to see the turnout for the Main Event. The buy-in is super low and with so much money up for grabs, it would not be surprising to see every player who turns out for the MicroMillions to compete in this event. Will it surpass the $500,000 guarantee? We shall see!
