The Spring Championship of Online Poker, otherwise known as SCOOP, is one of the most popular online poker tournament series provided by PokerStars. Players in the United States have missed out on the SCOOP for years, until now. PokerStars NJ has just released a drafted schedule which proposes that the tournament festival will be taking place within the state.

Players located in New Jersey, both residents and visitors, have already been taking advantage of the many online poker gaming offerings provided by PokerStars. With promotions, contests, cash game play and tournaments, PokerStars offers it all. Now the brand has released a tentative schedule for the SCOOP to take place in the Garden State.

The schedule includes 27 tournaments that will provide a high and low buy-in version. The SCOOP is known for offering two options of the same tournament, one with a higher buy-in and prize pool and one with a lower option of both. Prize pools are not guaranteed on this schedule and prize pools could range from $5 to $1,000.

There will be six game types featured during the tournament series including No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Limit Stud and 8-Game. With these game types, the tournament events will come in different formats including Turbo, Ultra KO, Heads-up, Zoom, Shootout, Ultra Deepstack and many more.

There will be two big events during the series which should see players registering in high numbers, including the Main Event and the High Roller tournament of the schedule. The Main Event will have a buy-in of $500 for the High version and $50 for the Low version. The High Roller option will have a $1,000 buy-in for the High version and $100 for the Low. Each will be played in No Limit format.

PokerStars revealed the drafted schedule via PokerStars Dylan on the popular poker forum 2+2. PokerStars would like feedback from players in New Jersey before the final schedule is created, with the SCOOP expected to start in May. In the same forum post, PokerStars revealed that at this time they do not have plans to offer qualifiers or satellites for the WSOP and new cash gaming variants were announced to be added to the high stakes gaming at the site.

Players will now have access to several higher limit cash gaming options including NLHE and PLO gaming with $10/$20 and $25/$50 stakes, 8 Game at $20/$40, $40/$80, and $100/$200 plus Stud at $20/$40 and $40/$80 among many other new higher limit gaming options. A $25 Spin & Go option is also set to be released soon.
