Kicking off a new month and the start of ramped-up slot development, Pragmatic Play has launched its latest high volatility spinner, Zombie Carnival. The engaging addition to the provider’s fast-growing product suite covers two themes that are about as opposite as they can be, however, this festival of the undead is more humorous than gruesome. And by throwing in some sticky wild multipliers in free spins, even more entertaining.
Except for a haunted house, players will be hard-pressed to find any of the traditional carnival attractions in this 6-reel, 4-row video slot. What they will find is an RTP of 96.50 percent and 4,096 ways to win, which awards a win when three or more of the same symbol type land on adjacent reels starting from the far left side.
Game Paytable & Features:
As far as the paytable, eight regular pays include J, Q, K and A card suites are lower pays and are worth 0.7x the bet for six of a kind, while four cartoonish zombie characters are the high pays and fetch 1.5-5x the bet the same way. A zombified, blood-thirsty bear serves as the Wild, and only appears during the free spins round.
A Mystery symbol takes the form of a gift-wrapped box and appears at the end of every spin in both the base game and free spins. When they are in view, they randomly transform into the same matching symbol.
You’ll want to keep an eye open for the brain Scatter, which appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5. When two or more hit on those specific reels, the bonus round is activated and the brain scatters transform into Wild symbols and remain on the reels for the entirety of the feature.
At the start of the bonus round the game awards players 6 free spins, and if a Scatter lands on the reels, the Wild that is the closest moves towards it and completely consumes it. It takes over its position and boosts the multiplier by 1x each time.
And as per the norm, depending on the jurisdiction, players can choose the Buy Free Spins option if they’d prefer to go directly to the bonus round rather than trigger them randomly during gameplay. The cost of doing so is 80x the stake.
Disrupts Pattern:
Commenting on the entertaining addition, Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, said via company news…
“Capturing players imaginations with a vibrant theme and amusingly scary creatures, Zombie Carnival™ strikes a careful balance between horror and humour to deliver a well-rounded product to our audiences.”
Barzely explains that with thier last few slot releases delivering “more wholesome themes,” Zombie Carnival “disrupts the pattern and provides a sense of variety to the offering, and we are thrilled with how it has taken shape.”
The latest release follows other recently launched hits such as the western-themed Wild West Gold Megaways, Cleocatra and Little Gem, each of which can be found in the multi-product content provider’s rapidly expanding portfolio of more than 200 HTML5 titles.
Next up is the Egyptian-themed game, Fortune of Giza, set to be released on June 9th!
