After further cementing its position in the LatAm market via two awards at CGS LatAm in Chile, multi-product content provider Pragmatic Play has released its sixth new May online slot title, Wild West Gold Megaways, wrapping up the month nicely.
The busy developer has players galloping back to the ranch in this amped-up version of the 2020 original, which has a 5×3 grid and 40 paylines, whereas the second iteration has 6 reels and 2-7 rows and up to 117,649 paylines when all reels are full. And that, of course, is due to the powerful Megaways engine, which is on license from Aussie developer Big Time Gaming (BTG).
Strangely, though, we go from the previous version’s 6,750x max win to a lower 5,000x max in the souped-up second slot. The volatility remains high and the RTP is 96.44 percent, dipping a bit to 96.41 percent when the Ante Bet is activated.
Among the game’s bounty, are 10, J, Q, K and A low pays, which are worth 0.25-0.3x the bet, while a pistol in a holster, sacks of gold coins, and four character symbols pay 0.4-1x the bet. Landing at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel, constitutes a win.
Game Features:
A sheriff’s badge serves as the game’s Wild, and lands on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, are key to bigger wins, substituting for all symbols except for the Scatter. They [wilds] can have random multipliers of x2, x3, or x5, and if more than one is part of a winning combination, multiply each other.
Players can activate the free spins round by landing at least three scatter symbols. When that happens, a payout of 4x, 20x, 100x, or 500x the bet plus 7 free spins is awarded.
During free spins, any time a wild symbol lands it receives a multiplier of x2, x3, or x5, and stays on the reels until the end of the round. Courtesy of the Megaways games engine, wilds change size as the number of symbols on the reels change. Furthermore, when 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 gold star scatter overlay symbols are in view, players are awarded 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 more free spins.
In certain territories, players can choose to buy free spins instead of waiting for them to trigger organically. The cost of doing so is 100x the bet.
New Experience:
Commenting on the new western-themed video slot, Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer at Pragmatic Play, said…
“Returning to the wild west to deliver a punchy Megaways™ upgrade guarantees our users a brand-new experience that gives the comfort of a tried and tested theme.
“Between the multipliers, free spins and bonus buy feature, players should have all the means to land an impressive win, and we expect the new title to go down a treat with them.”
Wild West Gold Megaways follows other popular releases including Chicken Chase, partner Wild Streak Gaming’s, Queenie, and Barn Festival, which was launched on the last day of March.
CGS LatAm Chile:
And as mentioned, just came off a significant win at the 12th annual CGS LatAm in Chile, walking away with two hotly contested awards, including Best Content Provider LatAm and Best Gaming Executive LatAm of the Year. The latter went to Victor Arias, Pragmatic Play’s Vice President of Latin American Operations.
The accolades are confirmation of the provider’s leading position within South America and reflect the company’s significant commercial growth across the region, as well as globally.
In a statement, Arias thanked the organizers for hosting the two-day event, saying…
“Both I and Pragmatic Play are extremely proud to win these awards as they represent our position as true industry leaders within Latin America. Our continued accomplishments are bolstered by the amazing relationship we have with operators within this key market and we look forward to continuing this success as we move forward.”
