Following almost a month of speculation and American lottery and gaming machines innovator, Scientific Games Corporation, has now officially announced the signing of a ten-year deal with the Turkish National Lottery.

The Las Vegas-headquartered firm used an official Tuesday press release to detail that the nation’s Lottery is expected to go live from next year and the new agreement is to see it supply the enterprise with a range of instant games as well as up to 15,000 of its Wave retail terminals. The innovator explained that the arrangement covering an estimated 80 million punters will also encompass the provision of a secure instant ticket validation scheme alongside access to a range of supporting systems.

Consortium consent:

Rumors that Scientific Games Corporation had inked such an understanding first surfaced early last month while the innovator additionally used yesterday’s press release (pdf) to declare that a joint venture comprised of local media firm Sans Dijital and Italian gaming operator Sisal SpA is now set to run the Turkish National Lottery until the end of 2030.

‘Trusted’ association:

Marco Caccavale, Lottery Managing Director for Sisal SpA, used the press release to proclaim that his firm has held a ‘25-year trusted relationship with Scientific Games Corporation’ and decided that its products were ‘the best possible option for our strategic and high-profile project in Turkey.’

Sportsbetting supplement:

As if all of this wasn’t enough, SG Corp stated that it has been selected in association with Sans Dijital ‘to exclusively deliver and operate’ a range of managed trading and sportsbetting services in Turkey.

Privileged position:

SG already supplies its solutions, games and technologies to lotteries in over 50 jurisdictions while the Nevada firm’s Executive Vice-President, Pat McHugh, described his company as ‘a world leader in entertainment’ via the provision of ‘dynamic games, systems and services for casino, lottery, online gaming and sportsbetting.’
