The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE) Board announced today that CEO, Andy Asselin will be retained for another two years. Mr. Asselin joined TOGE in 2013 and since that time has lead the Enterprise through the process of constructing the first phase, and the opening of Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley in the Phoenix Suburb of Glendale. Against mounting odds and detractors from competing tribes to the US Congress and Senate, Desert Diamond Casino – West Valley opened on December 20, 2015 to huge crowds and continues its success today.

Mr. Asselin came to TOGE with over 30 years of experience in gaming and resorts having operated multiple facilities and overseen the construction of others award-wining properties in California, Michigan, and Nevada including Soaring Eagle Casino Resort & Saganing Eagles Landing Casino, Viejas Casino – San Diego, CA, Flamingo Hilton – Reno.

Dr. Angelina Listo, Chairwoman of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise Board had the following to say about Mr. Asselin:  “Andy’s expertise in these areas has been pivotal in guiding TOGE through challenging economic times and building a foundation for even greater success. We are honored to have him continue as CEO,” said the Chairwoman.

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment operates three locations in Southern Arizona (Tucson, Sahuarita, and Why) and one in the West Valley. The company is owned and operated by an enterprise of the Tohono O’odham Nation, Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise.
