European game makers Yggdrasil Gaming have partnered up with GVC Holdings, the company that acquired the Bwin.Party brand in 2015, to provide GVC’s Italian sites Bwin.It and Gioco Digitale with the game studio’s products, according to a press release posted earlier this week.

The partnership will mark the first entry into the regulated Italian market by Yggdrassil Gaming where a number of its award winning game designs will now be offered under Bwin’s platforms. The game studio’s portfolio will be introduced in several stages, the first of which will see 11 games certified and supplied to the operator, including their Vikings go Wild and Nirvana slots.

The games will be integrated via Yggdrassil’s HTML5 framework iSENSE 2.0 that would allow players to launch mobile and desktop games simultaneously. The framework will also provide Bwin.it with Yggdrasil’s line of proprietary promotional tools like the BRAG function, which gives players a chance to capture replays on their winning spins and share them on social media, but also the BOOST tool, which allows operators to create engaging activities like cross-game mission campaigns for various prizes.

Commenting on the partnership, GVC Holdings CPO, Liron Snir, said in a statement that Yggdrasil’s games have stormed the online market and that it was a great opportunity for GVC to be able to implement the studio’s world-class products among their Italian offer, especially the BRAG tool which was a “real draw” for the company.

Yggdrasil Gaming CEO, Fredrik Elmqvist, also commented and said that they were very excited to have partnered up with such a big and respected operator for their entry to the Italian market and that this was another big deal that illustrated the progress made by Yggdrasil Gaming, but also how “desirable” their game designs and promo tools have become.
