Allied Esports Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AESE) subsidiary, World Poker Tour (WPT) has partnered with Delta Corp Limited‘s (NSE:DELTACORP) market leading poker site Adda52 to bring players in India the first online tournament series, WPT Online India.

To be highlighted by the INR 25 million ($340,000) guaranteed WPT Online India Main Event, the 18-day series will take place from November 5-22 and include 154 events totaling guarantees of INR 135 million ($1.838 million).

Starting flights:

Kicking off the WPT Online India Main Event on November 11 are 10 starting flights and a buy-in of INR 11,000 ($150), the winner of which will earn a $5,000 WPT Passport that he or she can use at any live WPT event around the world. Additionally, the person who is crowned Main Event champion, will win a Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium luxury watch, reportedly valued at $10,400.

Also part of the series, a Mega Player of the Series Leaderboard includes INR 2.5 million ($34,000) in prizes, with the winner pocketing INR 1 million ($13,600). Twenty-nine pre-selected events will qualify individuals for the leaderboard, with buy-ins of as much as INR 55,000 ($750) to play for.

A Mini Player of the Series leaderboard is also included, with the additional 125 events being eligible and the top 10 awarded INR 1 million, INR 300,000 ($4,083) of which goes to the champion.

Mike Sexton tribute:

On the last day of the series, a special event will be held commemorating the memory of American professional poker player and commentator, Mike Sexton, who sadly passed away at the age of 72 on September 6, 2020.

The tribute to the  “Ambassador of Poker” who cofounded partypoker and won nearly $7 million since his debut in the 1980s, will start at 8pm local time, with all of the event’s entry fees being donated to Poker Gives. The winner of the INR 11,000 buy-in event will receive a trophy and a $1,000 WPT Passport.
