In recognition of the high information security standards of its online gambling platform, British software developer Bede Gaming Limited has been granted ISO 27001 certification by the International Organization for Standardization.

Established in 2012, Bede Gaming Limited provides its flexible, scalable and modular online gambling platform to some of the world’s most prestigious operators including The Rank Group in the United Kingdom with the innovation processing tens of millions of transactions every month.

“Gaining this certification isn’t an easy process and requires a huge amount of focus from all aspects of our business,” read a statement from Michael Brady, Chief Executive Officer for Newcastle-Upon-Tyne-based Bede Gaming Limited. “Operators today want flexibility in their platform but they are also demanding peace of mind via the highest possible levels of security and this shows that we are leading the way when it comes to providing a credible, secure and trustworthy alternative.”

Bede Gaming Limited declared that its fully open and omni-channel platform, which is also utilized by lotteries in Europe and North America, employs “the latest in modern technology” while it received the ISO 27001 certification after proving that the innovation met the International Organization For Standardization’s “strict requirements when dealing with information security”.

“An information security breach would have a catastrophic impact for any operator that is unprepared,” read the statement from Brady. “This certification carries a validated independent view that Bede [Gaming Limited is] taking the right measures to prevent this from happening [and] giving our partners confidence that they are in safe hands.”

One of the first companies of its kind to be awarded such a certification, Bede Gaming Limited further declared that the independently-accessed recognition has confirmed its security status is “of the highest order” and prepared for the General Data Protection Regulation directives becoming law in May of 2018.
