A $5,000 fine must be paid by the Sioux City Hard Rock Casino after the facility has been subject to yet another gambling violation. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission ruled in favor of the fine after the casino broke regulation yet again. This time, the casino had allowed an individual on the gaming floor after the person had been self-banned.
In 2007, an individual signed up for the statewide banned list. At the Hard Rock Casino, the same person was able to obtain a player’s club card. The $5,000 fine set by the Commission was based on the history of violations of the property. The violation was self-reported by the casino and since it was the second in the past year, the $5,000 fine was set.
Back in March, the casino was fined $3,000 for an incident that had occurred months prior. The casino has only been open since August of 2014 and management has spent some time retraining the staff after the violations occurred.
