The Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino is going to close their hotel on a temporary basis after the venue has seen a decrease in customers staying in their guest rooms. Joey Patrick San Nicolas, the Mayor of Tinian, announced the closure to the Marianas Variety. The property will be shut down for several weeks.

According to the mayor, the lack of customers is due to flight cancellations. Because business has been so slow, the hotel will be shut down and non-operational from the 5th of March to the 15th of April. Now, many are wondering when the hotel will reopen and what will the hotel staff do in the meantime. As many as 300 individuals will be affected by the shutdown as their position of employment will not be needed for the stated time frame.

Christopher Bishop is the Tinian Dynasty acting general manager who also spoke with the Marianas Variety via telephone and stated that the hotel will be back in action by the 15th of April. Bishop claimed the hotel shut down was due to decreased arrivals of guests, which has caused business to slow down. The hotel will be the only facility that can resume operations by April as the casino is still waiting to earn a gaming license from the Tinian Gaming Commission.
