Jefferson, Iowa is getting ready for a new casino and hotel to open. Wild Rose Jefferson will open August 1, 2015. Having spent the last 10 weeks recruiting, 60% of staff had been hired before a job fair held on Saturday which focused on “front line” positions; table game dealers, gaming floor service, and event staff among others. Job seeker interest has been high and they are still looking for a few great teammates.

Wild Rose Jefferson received a gaming license from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission one short year ago, and in about a month the casino, event center, and hotel will open to the public. Local press were invited to a sneak preview of the facility about two weeks ago and report that progress is right on track.

The casino is expected to bring 250 new jobs to the area with an annual payroll of $7 million. The casino floor spans some 18,000 square feet and features 525 slot machines and 14 gaming tables.

The adjacent, smoke-free Cobblestone Hotel & Suites is expected to open along with the casino. The hotel will feature 73 guestrooms, an indoor pool, whirlpool, and fitness facilities. There is also an Iowa Store featuring specialty products made in the state. Parking is free at the casino and there is room for large vehicles such as buses and RV’s.

Hi Joleen, thank you for reading World Casino News. The casino is actually open in “soft launch” mode (see report: http://news.worldcasinodirectory.com/iowas-wild-rose-casino-resort-has-successful-soft-launch-9990) Along with the casino, Lucky’s Bar and the Iowa store are open. Coaches Corner and the Events Center are still under construction. The Cobblestone Hotel & Suites are on schedule for August 1st!

You can phone the casino at 515-386-7777 or follow on Facebook for up to the minute info. We will run another story when the property officially opens. Until then they are open 8am to midnight. Not sure if valet is active before official opening.
