Yggdrasil has launched the fifth GATI-powered title from Armenian studio Peter & Sons. Hammer of Gods combines wilds, multipliers, special wilds, and more, with quirky cartoon-like characters, outstanding aesthetics, and 729 ways to win.
This high volatility Norse-themed adventure sees players join the thunder god Thor, who holds the powerful Mjölnir in one hand and his shield in the other, as he lands on the shores of the violent northern sea where he welcomes his followers.
Big wins & gameplay:
Set high atop Mount Durmir, a beached Viking longship full of gold coins, with a spinning 6-reel, 3-row game grid positioned over it. Playable on any device, the video slot has a 96.06 percent RTP and a €1.020.000 max win.
Winning combinations are made when 3 or more matching symbols land across the paylines, which unlocks cash prizes worth between 0.10X and 20X the bet. Players can win in either direction here. Making up the game’s 11 pay symbols are 9-A card icons, while the remaining five high pays include Thor’s shield, a pipe-smoking Viking, a wolf warrior, a red-haired marauder, a murderous mistress and the god of thunder himself serves as the jackpot symbol while his hammer, Mjolnir, is the wild and substitutes for all other symbols with the exception of the scatter.
Whenever one of Thor’s hammer’s appear, it can become a special wild symbol, which are collected and stored in the power metre located in the upper left of the screen and used when three or more of the wilds appear at once. When that happens, the re-spin feature is triggered and all of the special wilds that have been collected come into play and get sticky for even bigger wins. After the trio is released, the collector is reset.
Bonus game:
Additionally, certain sections on the gameboard are highlighted randomly. Symbols that land in a lighted section are boosted by a multiplier of up to 4x, which can lead to a winning combination in base game play.
Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 star shield scatter symbols is worth 2, 10, 100, or 500 times the stake, while also triggering the bonus game, which awards 15 extra spins.
What they’re saying:
Commenting on the new release, Yann Bautista, Business Development Manager for Peter & Sons, said…
…their games have been “well received” by Yggdrasil partners, and they are “delighted” to launch Hammer of Gods.
“With Wilds, Multipliers, Special Features and enormous wins, it combines plenty of fantastic elements and we’re eager to see how fans react.”
Stuart McCarthy, Head of Product and Programs for Yggdrasil, used a company presser to add…
“With a distinct graphical style, immersive gameplay and giant win potential, Hammer of Gods is another thrilling Peter & Sons addition to the YG Masters portfolio.”
McCarthy went on to say that, so far, the relationship with the developer has been “hugely rewarding,” and they can’t wait to make the new title available across their operator network.
YG Masters success:
The Norse-themed game is the fifth title developed by Peter & Sons as a YG Masters partner, following Robin – Nottingham Raiders, which was released in July this year.
Powered by the Cherry AB subsidiary’s state-of-the-art GATI (Game Adaptation Tools & Interface) technology used by all of Yggdrasil’s YG Masters partners, the advance allows them to produce cutting-edge content and to rapidly distribute those products.
The new title also closely follows the launch of 10x Rewind, the latest release from YG Masters partner 4ThePlayer.
