The progressive jackpot network of Microgaming has been quite busy this year. From January to June 2019, the network has paid out a total of 1,150,559 jackpots, which equaled €89,879,343 in payouts. Eight of the winners were able to earn a seven or eight figure payout during the first six months of the year. The total prize money earned among those eight came to over €43 million!
The largest jackpot win of 2019 belongs to a player from the Zodiac Casino. The prize was won on January 30th and was the third largest prize in the history of the network. The prize totaled €13,328,028.16 and was earned via the Mega Moolah game, a progressive online slot.
Additional notable prizes this year so far came in May. One player was able to earn just over €5.4 million on May 3rd while another was given a prize of just over €5.6 million. Both prizes were paid out in lump sums.
According to Microgaming…
CEO John Coleman commented on the year’s jackpot status thus far by stating: “2019 is gearing up to be a great year for Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, with total lifetime payouts fast approaching the €1.1 billion mark. Congratulations to all winning players on the network, which remains the largest in the industry and features the record-breaking Mega Moolah progressive slot. We look forward to hosting more life-changing wins in the second half of the year.”
Largest Jackpot Ever:
While 2019 has already been a successful year for the progressive jackpot network, the largest jackpot ever awarded still remains the one from Grand Mondial Casino in September 2018. A player was enjoying the popular Mega Moolah when just over €18.9 million was won.
